Banned From The Comments Rules
One Line. One idea. No script.
- Be Entertaining or Get Banned!
- You get the floor at the host’s signal.
- If the take is weak wandering or DOA you get Banned From the Comments!
- Stay on topic. No Rambling.
- Intellectual violence is the point. Roast the argument. Torch the logic. Mock the weak take. Hot takes, sharp insults, and verbal bloodsport are encouraged. Crossing into personal attacks on appearance, private life, identity, or character gets you shut down.
- The host has the knife. Energy, relevance, and whether you’re actually bringing something decide how long you stay up. Audience reaction can influence the call — the final word is the host’s.
The Symposium Rules
Two minds. One question. No mercy.
- Host controls the floor. You get the time that the room and the format allow
- Answer what was just said. Don’t hide behind a pre-written speech while ignoring the actual argument in front of you.
- Ideas get attacked. People don’t. Destroy the claim. Expose the contradiction. Ridicule the weak reasoning. Personal shots at character, identity, or private life are out.
- One mic. No interruptions. Wait your turn or lose it.
- Host’s decision is final. Argue it later if you must. Not while the lights are on.
- Civility required: Host can end a round early if it becomes hostile.
- Respect the format: Threats, doxxing, or calls to violence = immediate removal.
